I was surprised how well this thing actually works. It's a rubber egg shaped device you plug your iPhone into that enhances the sound to your speaker. It was worth the money. I use it in the car to play my music on my iPhone using Spotify (see my YouTube video on "How I Save Money for more details). Another trick I have learned though is if you put your cell phone in a glass, it also works as a speaker because of the hollow shape. Pretty good idea if you don't have a pair of speakers laying around or don't feel like spending a fortune on a transportable speaker system. This would make a great stocking stuffer or grab bag gift for someone who owns an iPhone!!

The Prisoner's Girlfriend Part 1 - Visiting Privelages

Please don’t judge something you don’t understand. I wish and hope that most of you never have to experience this. But if it happens to you, just be prepared and understand it’s not forever, but a temporary expeirence you have to be strong though or you’ll never make it. I know it’s hard to wait. You’ll find out patience is a bigger virtue than you thought. But in the end, if it works out for you, it’s worth the wait. If not, I’m sorry, but you think you just wasted your time. But it’s not a complete waste. It’s a situation god put you through on purpose, to help build your character, and prepare you for things that happen further down the road in life.

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to date a man in jail or prison? Probably not. But when you love somebody, sometimes you have no choice. When they get incarcerated, not only does their life fall apart, but SO DOES YOURS. The one person you planned hopes and dreams with and built a future with gets taken away in the blink of an eye by the autorities. I DON’T RECOMMEND DATING SOMEONE BEHIND BARS if you don’t have to, and god bless the females who hold their men down strong during their bids. It’s NOT EASY and not everyone is built for it. Here is a look inside the harsh realities people go through evey day to maintain relationships with family members and sometimes the love of their lives.

Visiting

Have you ever been to a jail or prison? Let me tell you, it’s not fun. It’s one of the awful and painful times I’ve ever experienced. When I mean awful, it’s awful because you are treated almost like a prisoner yourself. It causes a lot of anxiety too, especially if you haven’t seen your loved one for a while. It’s that can’t sleep can’t eat feeling, just like if you were going on your first date. It is painful experience, because you see your loved one in a jumpsuit, sometimes shackled from the hands and at the feet. It’s not something you want to see every day or have your kids see. But you do what you have to do to stay in touch with the person you care about.
First you sign the book and check in with the officer. Then you are assigned a locker. You need to bring a picture ID with you or they won’t let you in. Then you get in line or are called by number. Then the fun part begins. You are sometimes patted down, and have to walk through a metal detector. If you’re a female, this is a pain in the ass. You have to take off your bra or piercings in some jails because the they will set off a metal detector. Don’t dare bring in drugs with you! They have sniffing dogs. Even better they sometimes randomly hand choose you out of a crowd to be ion scanned for particles of drugs.

Visiting Room

Ok, so you make it through the first process. Congratulations! Now here comes the even shittier part. You are sitting across from your loved one and are separated by sometimes a grate in between you with no contact. You can kiss your partner but only through the grate. It’s not fun. To get around this, you wrap paper towel around the edges to make it sanitary. In other circumstances you are separated by a short glass barrier, but can only hold hands. You can kiss and hug goodbye but that’s it. Other facilities you can sit next to your partner and are able to get away with a full on makeout session or more. I even know this one girl who got pregnant on a visit. But I’ll emphasize this again you do what you have to do under time circumstances.

Now it’s time to say goodbye. This is the worst time. Since you got there if there’s a clock, you constantly look at it counting down the minutes till you have to leave. Tears are shed, hugs are exchanged, and words of departure are given. It’s not actually goodbye, it’s see you later. See you later at your next court date, or see you next month. If you’re lucky, it’s see you next week. Time is very valuable when you are told how long you are able to spend with the love of your life. It goes by way too quickly, and the moment you have to walk out that visiting room, your heart drops in the pit of your stomach. It’s one of the worst feelings in the world.

Why I HATE my day job, and why blogging is my GOLDEN ticket!

For the past 3 years, I've been working full time at my day job. I don't hate it, but I hate the fact I've hit the glass ceiling. I'll always be a tech, I'll never be anything else. It won't be a career, and it isn't something I wake up happy about every day. I have a college degree, but I haven't used it yet. Up until a month ago, before I got into Ambit, my life was pretty dull. I had bills like utility bills to pay. Ok it's awesome those utility bills are gone, but even so, I feel like I've hit a brick wall. I WANT TO QUIT MY DAYJOB. I want to do it with AMBIT! I have the drive and dream to succeed, I'm taking action, but I need that extra boost! I have NO PROBLEM getting customers, but consultants that's AN ISSUE. A few days ago I started a viral blogging system that has helped hundreds of people advertise their business while getting to know them on a personal level, and generate leads. The #1 mistake I think we make in this business is we forget our customers are buying BECAUSE of US. Somewhat because of the product, BUT THEY HAVE TO LIKE US, TOO. #2, KISS. Keep It Simple Stupid. If a 5th grader can understand it an adult can. But if we are making things too complicated for ourselves or anyone else, we are losing out on customers. It's what relationship marketing is all about. Build a relationship with someone, and then go for as my friend Jon said "the kill". My friend Travis who is a Senior Consultant about to be an Executive Consultant got on to this blogging thing with me in just 12 hours. The best part is, if he gets anyone else on, I make money too. So I'm making money for my business with blogging, while promoting my business in a new way. The coolest part is, YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE A BUSINESS OWNER TO MAKE MONEY. I mean who doesn't love a cute trendy name like Peace Love & Free Energy, with a cute girl :-). With my trendy new site and blog, it's FUN NEW HOBBY that will help me express myself while drawing in leads for my business, and expose other people to the blogging system as well. I look forward to the future with my viral blog to see how much buzz it will create. So far so good, and it'll be interesting to see how much money I'll make from it. I've made my investment back already in just 12 hours. Would a $25 investment, with 100% commissions, be worth it for helping advertise your business? I made that investment back in 12 hours, and just like with Ambit, I am a nobody. But I was still able to get 15 customers in 25 days to get my free gas and electric. All it takes is marketing. Labor Day Memories - My Fondest Memories in Lake Pleasant, NY - Short Memoir By Erin K. Pitts

Everyone has some sort way of their own to celebrate Labor Day weekend. Every year for as long as I can remember in my 27 years of existence, I have spent Labor Day weekend at my family's camp in Lake Pleasant, NY. When I tell people I'm going to camp, they assume that I am pitching up a tent. Well it's not like that at all. It's not a house but its a trailer. It's not the niceat trailer but it's kept up. With it's 70's style paneling and ancient decorations from my grandparents left behind, it gives it a distinctive feel. The smell of pine trees, smokey campfires, and bug spray is something I look forward to every weekend of the summer I don't have to work. My favorite time of the year is Labor Day though. Our camp throws a huge party, and it's usually the biggest celebration of the year aside from Fourth of July and our annual beach party. Around noon on Saturday we all gather to the beach to play games. The games include egg toss, balloon toss, scavenger hunt, blind fold canoe race, and my favorite, the relay race! They have adult version and kid versions of each game. If you come in first place, second, or third, you go home with a medal. I live for these things. It's a very special medal. It's made out of the bottom of a canned food with gold, silver, or bronze, with a red white and blue ribbon usually connected to it with hot glue. The medals are presented at the family picnic. It's exciting when everyone gathers for dinner. They serve anything you can imagine from clams, fried chicken, and brownies for dessert. Sunday night we have a bonfire. With a little buzz or sober, it's a great time where you're guaranteed to meet new people, and create memories. Some of my fondest memories of my childhood were at camp. I still talk to the same people I grew up with, except now we are all older and having children. It's also very sad sometimes at Labor day because once it's done, you know it's almost time to take the boat of the water and that the season is almost over. I look forward to waterskiing a lot recently since my parents just bought a boat. We have had a few boats but never had one this nice. They named it" 401-Kay" since they bought it from their retirement money. My Mom basically told my father, " You need to buy the boat now, because if you don't, I'm going to buy it anyway when you die, so you might as well enjoy it." Well those somewhat harsh words worked and I'm glad they did. LOL. The older I get, the more I have learned to appreciate camp. It's my happy place. I hope within the next few years I can buy my own camp or house in Lake Pleasant. It's a family tradition that I have no passed down to my son, and can't imagine what summer would be like, if it I didn't have such a special and beautiful place to spend with my family. How Switching to Ambit Energy CHANGED MY LIFE in 25 DAYS!! – Erin K. Pitts Personal Testimony

So everyone is a little skeptical of these new energy choices right?! I know I was!! What is an energy choice anyway? They all seem like pyramid schemes and sometimes it might be a little hard to find the catch right away. Well, I was very skeptical at first. But like they say, a penny saved is a penny earned!! So I searched near and far to find the catch with Ambit Energy. There had to be one, but I couldn’t fine one! I found out Ambit was rated #1 in a July survey in customer service by JD POWER, and had maintained an A+ rating with the BBB (Better Business Bureau) since it’s birth in 2006. I also learned that fixed rate plans were no bueno, and that the guaranteed lower rate plan than the market price was the way to go. It just seemed to good to be true and all, it cost me nothing to switch with no contract to change to Ambit as my supplier (while National Grid remained my delivery service). I carefully analyzed my first few bills! The merchant charges were REALLY removed, and I was receiving a 7% discount! A merchant charge is simply a charge your provider taxes you on your second page on which is a few extra dollars you get charged every month! Most people don’t even realize that charge is even there. By choosing an ESCO (Energy Services Company) you are not charged the merchant rates. I learned very quickly that before energy deregulation, we were practically paying the monopoly price. My bills don’t lie, they have averaged at $13 a piece this summer the past 3 months! Granted I am not home alone, it’s a lot cheaper than the $230 gas bill I was paying over the winter. I was currently receiving a HEAP credit discount from the government, so I couldn’t believe it was barely being taken out of the grant the government gave me! Anyways it was so nice after I got my grant not having to pay my gas bill, that my consultant Sue told me about Ambit’s FREE ENERGY Program. “This can’t be real”, I thought to myself. I thought about how nice it would be saving a few hundred dollars every month, especially in the winter months. That would be like an extra tax return! So as a customer I took advantage of this program. I thought, “What would it really hurt stepping out of my comfort zone referring a great product to get free stuff?” I then started posting things on my facebook about how happy I was with the Guaranteed Savings Program. My Consultant, Sue Tilison, was very helpful and helping me get leads. In Ambit you are never alone, it’s a family and friend based business and everyone helps everyone again success as a team. In New York where I live, Ambit Energy is the ONLY company that GUARANTEES savings and FREE ENERGY AND GAS. At the end of the year Ambit Energy sends you a statement of how much you would have paid with your current incumbent provider, i.e, National Grid, NYSEG, or ConEd. If you did not save, their guarantee is to send you a CHECK WITH THE DIFFERENCE! So it’s a win win situation. I couldn’t go wrong with my decision. Every time I checked the New York Commissioner webpage, the rates were lower that what everyone else was paying! So as I started to gather referrals, I realized HOW EASY it was! Sue said, “You should consider becoming a consultant”. Ok, so after I got about 3 or 4 referrals in a day I said, sure! I’m not going to lie, I was scared to death. I barely had the sign up fee, but I believed in myself and knew I would make it back. You get an unlimited time frame to get your 15 referrals for the free energy program (as a customer or consultant). As long as you get 20 customer points in 3 months, you are guaranteed your investment back. Customers can still earn free energy and gas, but consultants pay the fee because we get paid RESIDUAL INCOME. Residual income is a check I get every month (while earning free gas and energy) when my customers pay their bill! Then when I sign on someone as a consultant to this amazing program, I make double the money off everything they do! It’s great. So moral of the story is, I got my 20 customer points in 25 days. I am a 27 year old single mother who was once working as a waitress and a day job, and I’ve now been able to quit my waitressing job, and I’m proud to say I won’t need HEAP Assistance this year! I can’t wait to see where Ambit takes me. My up line is already selling her double wide and buying a log cabin house in only 6 months! I’m excited to see where Empower Network brings me with Ambit as well. I discovered how awesome and fun blogging can be! It’s a fun way to express myself and draw traffic to my business with the lead generator and smart keyword feature. Regardless, the free energy program has really changed my life, and has opened a lot of new doors for me. This is only the beginning and I have met so many amazing Ambit Family members & friends that support me and my business. I LOVE IT and wouldn’t change it for the world! I never knew in less than a month, my life could be changed FOREVER, for the BETTER!!

HOW TO BLOCK A NUMBER WITH AN IPHONE/ANDROID/SMARTPHONE FOR FREE USING YOUMAIL WITHOUT CHANGING YOUR NUMBER

HOW TO BLOCK A NUMBER WITH AN IPHONE/ANDROID/SMARTPHONE FOR FREE USING YOUMAIL WITHOUT CHANGING YOUR NUMBER - So for a very long time I have been frustrated with Straighttalk, and the iphone, because I was NOT paying for an application that would block peoples numbers or change my number, since Straighttalk does not allow you to block people's numbers. You know, you have those ex's, or telemarkerts, shoulda, woulda, wish they coulda been's always calling or texting you from time to time, or harassing you. If you are like me and just too nice or don't have it in my heart to tell most of them to go "eff off", or they don't get the picture, this is for you (because I don't need to take it to extremes to call the police, they're just annoying like mosquito’s!). Well today I discovered the BEST application ever! YouMail. You can now set up a message that plays as their voicemail message saying "doo doo doo" this number is not in service, and set it up so that the person calling you can't leave a voicemail by a "ditch caller" feature. I'm extremely happy because now I don't have to feel guilty being the "bad girl" and saying something mean or vulgar. I merely "changed my number" (but really didn't) and moved on with my life, without even having to change my number or act like an outright meanie! Best part is, I can still see smile while these pathetic lames are still trying to call my phone, but not worry about it interfering with my new amazing relationship!! Guys & girls, I recommend this app very very much, there is a free version that works just fine! You can also add a message for Blocked #'s that tells the caller to call back again later with an unblocked number and to reveal their identity. You can also set up the out of service message for unknown or blocked numbers. Aside from all the blocking for the people you like or if you have a business, you can also set up your phone to auto-reply feature with a text message for when they miss your call, and even add your website or a short message to it! Pretty cool. Although the auto-reply is somewhat faulty, the blocking and ditching feature is amazing and I recommend it to anyone who wants to leave the past in the past, and not even give it a change to mess up your future (it's not worth it) so thank goodness for technology!!
